If you had the opportunity, and the ability to tear apart some code for a simple desktop game to propose to your girlfriend, would you? Well, that’s exactly what Bernie Peng did recently. You see, this is what programmers do in New Jersey: they use technology to their best advantage.
So all his girlfriend, Tammi, had to do was play one of her favorite desktop games, “Bejeweled” and reach a certain score so that the message appeared. Well, she said “Yes”, and now the world of technology is one step ahead of ‘bringing us all together’. Or at least bringing Bernie and Tammi together.

And if that wasn’t enough, PopCap, the software company that makes the game, is footing the bill for a flight for the two. PopCap plans to also distribute copies of the now infamous glittering game to the wedding guests. Gaming companies aren’t always so big into manipulation of their software, (he did click yes on the user’s agreement, didn’t he?) but PopCap representatives are pleased that it just all worked out.
